Erin L. Lovell (JD), Executive Director

When Erin started college at the University of Notre Dame, she planned to major in business and theater.  The summer after her sophomore year she volunteered at Hibiscus Children's Center in Florida through the Notre Dame alumni supported Summer Service Program.  Hibiscus was an emergency and short term shelter or placement for children, infants to twelve years of age.  In the midst of the calm and chaos of the shelter, Erin found her vocation and for the first time, considered attending law school.

Rebecca Cate (JD), Managing Attorney

Rebecca is a lifelong resident of the Northwest, having moved to Seattle from Portland, Oregon as a young girl.   Rebecca received her BA from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon majoring in International Studies and French.  After completing her undergraduate studies and living abroad in India for several months, Rebecca entered law school at Willamette University College of Law, where she received both a Juris Doctor and a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Andrea Freimuth (JD), Staff Attorney

A native Washingtonian, Andrea attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she received her BA in Sociology. Following college she volunteered with AmeriCorps in an Oregon high school, and later worked with adolescents in a residential treatment facility in Tennessee. This work sparked her interest in becoming an attorney to advocate for youth and children.

Chori Folkman (JD, MSW), Staff Attorney

Chorisia “Chori” Folkman began her legal career as an Equal Justice Works Fellow at TeamChild, where she advocated for the civil legal needs of youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Her fellowship focused on youth involved in truancy court proceedings. From 2008-2013, Chori advocated for parents and children in dependency cases through the Tulalip Tribal Court.  Chori returned to TeamChild in Seattle to help provide maternity coverage while beginning her caseload with Legal Counsel for Youth and Children.  Chori will be with LCYC exclusively, starting May 1, 2014.
